You often hear rumors about lucky travelers getting surprise ‘upgrades’ on long-haul flights, finding themselves bumped into business or first class either by cheekily asking for it or just plain luck.
It hasn’t happened to me yet, despite trying the asking trick on several occasions, so I was never quite sure how true these rumors were. Well now we definite proof, after Imgur user humanbean10 posted the results of their lucky upgrade, giving us a peek behind the curtain and showing us how the other half lives.

No more slumming it in cattle class! I actually think that having one of these experiences would ruin flying for me for good, knowing how good it can be. But with first-class and business plane tickets costing as much as 70% more than economy airfare, it remains out of reach for the vast majority of travelers and is just not worth the difference in price. Or is it?

According to Humanbean10, the airline was Asiana and it was a simple case of them getting a moved seat. Little did they know where they were getting moved to!

“I was told during check-in that they had moved my seat, and was wondering if I was ok with that. When I got there, this is what I came to,” they said.

Now that’s a nice surprise! Many airlines offer Michelin-star quality food on their business class menus, a far cry from that awful plasticated crap we are used to in economy.

As well as things like flat beds, private screens, Wifi and expensive gift bags, one airline, Emirates and their A380, has two shower spas, complete with heated floors!
